“ IF YOUR MIND IS EMPTY, IT IS ALWAYS READY FOR
ANYTHING. IT IS OPEN TO ANYTHING.
IN THE BEGINNERS MIND THERE ARE MANY POSSIBILITIES;
IN THE EXPERT’S MIND THERE ARE FEW.”

ZEN MIND, BEGINNER’S MIND
Marius Brits writes about his personal adventures as a coffee grower in Venda.
He reflects on Buddhism and Zen and on Venda myths
and legends. This book tells the story of one man’s
struggle with alienation and a search for identity and wholeness.
His personal struggle mirrors the unknown and hidden aspects of adoption.
He is a brewer by trade. Today he is a poet, an amateur archaeologist and cultural field guide.
His main interest is in the stone-walled ruins and rock engravings of the Lydenburg area where he grew up.
He has self-published three books on the Lydenburg archaeology
- Ancient Whispers, Ancient Ruins and Ancient Bushman Stones.
